Change Password

1. Go to yourdomain.com.au/wp-admin
2. A login screen will open. Just enter your WordPress username and password. (You will have received this information earlier from us).
3. Now you will see your WordPress Dashboard, as it’s called (it looks pretty confusing). But not to worry.
4. Click on “Users” in the left hand side menu and then click on your username.
5. Now simply scroll down and fill in a new password where it says “New Password” and click “Save”. All done!
6. Hint: it’s a good idea to choose a password that contains numbers, letters, symbols and some uppercase letters too, and is not a real word.

Secure Website

1. Go to yourdomain.com.au/wp-admin

3. Now you will see your WordPress Dashboard, as it’s called (it looks pretty confusing!). But not to worry!
4. Click on “Dashboard” and then in the left hand column click on “Updates”.
5. Click on “BackupBuddy” in the left hand column and then click on “Backup”.
6. Then click on “Complete Backup”. Wait a minute. Then click on the blue file that reads something like “Download Backup Zip Archive (xx mb)” and “Save As”. All done!

1. BEFORE you update your site please backup the site and download this file (using the Backup Website instructions on this page)

4. Now you will see your WordPress Dashboard, as it’s called (it looks pretty confusing). But not to worry.
5. Click on “Dashboard” and then in the left hand column click on “Updates”.
6. If your website’s WordPress install is out of date you will see a blue button that says something like “Update Now”. Simply click that and you’ll be all done in about 30 seconds.
7. Don’t forget to check boxes next to any Plugins there that need updating and hit “Update” on them too.
8. All updated and a lot more secure.
